Anna Tardos

Hungarian psychologist. Continuation of work and innovating conception of early childhood initiated in the 1930s by his mother, the pediatrician Emmi Pikler, and also influenced by the thought of his father, progressive pedagogue, Anna Tardos has conducted its research and training for people who deal with children and smaller children, educators, teachers and parents, based on the belief in the ability of babies for independent play and for learning the movements themselves, autonomy in healthy and privileged relationship, conditions leading children to their harmonious development. As a specialist in early childhood has published many articles, has edited books and audiovisuals, he has participated in radio and television aimed at parents and has lectured and coordinated seminars in various European countries and the United States. Since 1998 he is director of the Pikler-Lóczy of Budapest Institute and professor of psychology at the University of the same city.
