Gregor Sander

Born in 1968 in Schwerin, then part of East Germany. Before starting college, he learned trades Sander Bench and nurse. After three semesters studied medicine at the University of Rostock and then some semesters of German Studies and History at the Humboldt University. From 1996 to 1997 he attended the School of Journalism in Berlin. His literary career began in 2002 with the volume of stories Ich bin aber hier geboren (But I was born here). With winter fish story, contained in his book In another world, he participated successfully in the spring of 2011 at the Ingeborg Bachmann competition, where he won the 3sat Prize. Other works include the novels Was gewesen ware (what had been) and abwesend (Away, published in Spain). He lives in Berlin, where she works as a freelance author.
