Antonio del Rey Briones is a doctor in Hispanic Philology, high school professor and professor at the University of Alcalá de Henares. His research work has been oriented preferentially towards contemporary narrative, the short story and the theory of the novel. The book La novela by Ramón Gómez de la Serna, various articles on the work of this writer and others on the contemporary story, Don Quixote and the origins of the novel are included in this area. As a result of his teaching experience, there are several textbooks for high school and some editions of classics aimed mainly at the teaching of literature in secondary education: Góngora's Poetic Anthology, Brief Theater Anthology, an adaptation of Don Quixote and, in this same collection , an Anthology of medieval poetry in which its full validity and its closeness to contemporary sensibility are revealed.
