Armando Verdiglione

Armando Verdiglione (Caulonia, 30 November 1944) is an Italian publisher and philosopher.

Winner of a scholarship in the Augustinianum College, he studied at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, where he graduated in Literature with a thesis on The Giants of the Mountain by Pirandello, psychoanalyst trained with Jacques Lacan, translator and essay writer , publishes in Italy with the publishing houses Marsilio, Rizzoli, Feltrinelli and Sugarco, with which it collaborates.

In 1985 I was in Milan, at the invitation of Armando Verdiglione, first Eugène Ionesco and later Jorge Luis Borges. In December of the same year, at an assembly of intellectuals and readers, Borges participated in a conference organized by Verdiglione, bearing testimony of his life and his activity as a poet, documented in the book Una vita di poesia.

In 1983, the International University of the Second Renaissance purchased the Villa di Senago and the park from the Borromeo family, left in a state of neglect for over twenty years. The new owners therefore decided to start a first major restoration that aims to protect the property itself. The restoration continued over time, faithful to conservative criteria, with the collaboration of engineers, experts, architects, technicians, historians and philologists who worked together under the direction of the Superintendency for Environmental and Architectural Heritage of Milan.
