David Lapoujade

David Lapoujade (Paris, 1964) is a French philosopher, professor at the Pantheon-Sorbonne University.

Specialist pragmatism, particularly in the work of William James, his approach is based on the thought of Gilles Deleuze, who was a student. He has also produced works on the thought of Henri Bergson, Henry James and Emerson. Contributes to several magazines, including Critique, Philosophie, La revue de métaphysique et de morale, Revue philosophique and Le Magazine littéraire.

He has published two collections of posthumous texts by Gilles Deleuze (The desert island and other texts, 2002; Two crazy schemes, 2003) by Editions de Minuit. In 2003, he also edited the Handbook of Psychology William James.
