He was born in Quilmes, Buenos Aires province, Argentina, on September 2, 1963. He studied a degree in Physics at the University of La Plata, and his doctorate at Drexel University (Philadelphia, United States). He was a researcher at the University of California in San Diego (United States), a professor at the University of Navarra (Spain), and currently works as a professor at the UBA Faculty of Exact Sciences and as a researcher at Conicet. He received the De Robertis, Bunge and Born and Arthur Winfree awards from ICTP (Trieste). He is the author of more than seventy publications in international magazines and two books of his specialty.
