Heli Morales

He was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco in 1960. He studied a degree in Social Psychology at the Autonomous Metropolitan University of Xochimilco. There, along with other friends and colleagues, he participated in the gestation of various critical and self-managing groups such as Esquizo and Pocina Entrópica. They were student groups bent on questioning the university through poetry, writing, and certain contestation events. Between 1982 and 1984 he completed a Master's in Psychoanalytic Theory at the Center for Research and Psychoanalytic Studies (CIEP). It is titled with the thesis The subject of the ghost and the conjectural sciences, which receives an honorable mention. He begins his analysis with Frida Saal.

At the age of 23, he began his clinical practice by participating as an analyst-in-training at the Mexican Psychoanalysis Foundation, an institution that provided clinical care to people with limited economic resources and was structured based on personal, group supervision, seminars and clinical athenaeums.
