John Eliot Gardiner (Fontmell Magna, Dorset, UK, 1943) is one of the most important directors of our century, whose repertoire ranges from the Baroque to the twentieth century. Founder of the Monteverdi Choir, the Opera Orchestra of Lyon, the Inglés Baroque Soloists and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, has also directed major international orchestras.
