John Ruskin (born February 8, 1819 - Brantwood, Cumbria, England, January 20, 1900) was a British writer, art critic, sociologist, artist and social reformer, one of the great masters of English prose . He influenced notably Mahatma Gandhi.2 He advocated Christian socialism.
