Johnny J. Cash (Kingsland, Arkansas, February 26, 1932 - Nashville, Tennessee, September 12, 2003) was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, actor and author. Considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. A songwriter of country, gospel, rock and roll and rockabilly, he was and is one of the top representatives of country music, although he created his own musical subgenre.
