Juan Miguel Hernández León is Professor of Composition at the School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM). He is currently Chairman of the Fine Arts. Director of Architecture magazines Passage and Criticism (James Ammon Award architectural dissemination) and lighting, a regular contributor to journals on architecture, art or thought, as International Architect, Lotus, Casabella, Domus, Arquitectura Viva, AV, Architecture and Revista de Occidente.

He is scientific director of the Texts of Architecture (AKAL) and Art and Architecture (ABADA) collections. His recent projects include the Cultural Foundation in Salamanca (with Alvaro Siza), the Palace of Congresses in the Universidad Laboral de Zamora (with Francisco Mangado) and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Vélez Málaga.
