Juan Vives Rocabert

("Mont-Viso", 1941). Doctor and Psychiatrist, graduate of the Faculty of Medicine and the Division of Higher Studies of the U.N.A.M (Mexico). He made his psychoanalytic training at the Institute of Psychoanalysis of the Mexican Psychoanalytic Association and, subsequently his training as a Group, Couple and Family Psychotherapist at the Mexican Association of Group Analytical Psychotherapy. Since then he works in his private practice as a psychoanalyst and group, couple and family therapist.

He has been an adherent, titular, didactic and life partner of the A.P.M., an association of which he has been Director of the Institute and President, in addition to other administrative positions. He has taught seminars both at the Institute of the A.P.M. as in the A.M. P. He has also been secretary of FEPAL (Latin American Federation of Psychoanalysis), Deputy Director of ILAP (Latin American Institute of Psychoanalysis), has been part of the Council of Delegates at the IPA (International Psychoanalytic Association) and has been editor for Latin America of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis . He is currently permanent editor of Psychoanalysis Notebooks.
