Karl Lubomirsky. He was born in 1939 in Hall in Tirol (Austria) and lived and studied in Innsbruck during his youth until he moved to Italy, to a town near Milan, where he currently resides. His poems can be placed in the tradition that Schiller baptized as lyrical thought. He has published eleven books of poetry, as well as travel books, plays, short stories, and other prose texts. His works have been translated into twenty languages. He has received numerous high decorations inside and outside Austria, and figures in his own right in the history of Austrian literature.
