Karl Heinrich Marx, also known in Spanish as Karl Marx (Trier, Kingdom of Prussia, May 5, 1818 - London, UK, March 14, 1883) was a philosopher, intellectual and militant German communist. In its vast and influential work, dabbled in the fields of philosophy, history, political science, sociology and economics, but not limited to work only intellectual area, it also entered the field of journalism and politics, proposing in his thought the combination of theory and practice. Along with Friedrich Engels, is the father of scientific socialism, of modern communism and Marxism. His most famous writings are the Communist Manifesto (co-authored with Engels) and Das Kapital.
