Leila Guerriero

Leila Guerriero was born in 1967, in Junín, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his journalistic career in 1991, in the magazine Página / 30. Since then his texts have appeared in La Nación yRolling Stone, from Argentina; El País and Vanity Fair, from Spain; The Malpensante and SoHo, from Colombia; Gatopardo and El Universal, from Mexico; Black Label, from Peru; Paula and El Mercurio, from Chile; Granta, UK; Lettre Internationale, Germany and Romania; L'Internazionale, from Italy, among other means. She is editor for the Conosur of the Mexican magazine Gatopardo. In 2005 he published the book Suicides of the end of the world (Tusquets Argentina and Spain), translated into Portuguese and Italian. In 2009, he published a compilation of chronicles entitled Strange Fruits (Aguilar Colombia and Argentina), which in 2012, published Alfaguara in Spain. In 2010, his text "The trail in the bones", published in El PaísSemanal and Gatopardo, received the CEMEX-FNPI award. In 2013, published Plano Americano (Ediciones Universidad Diego Portales, Chile), which brings together twenty profiles of personalities from the culture of Spain and Latin America. His work has been part of anthologies as Better than fiction (Anagrama, 2012) and Anthology of current Latin American chronicle (Alfaguara, 2012).
