Archaeologist, is founder of the Spanish Society of Maya Studies and has directed the Archaeological Mission of Mexico and Spain in the Spanish Journal of American Anthropology. For many years he has carried out excavations in Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala and Mexico, in addition to having explored archaeologically little known areas of the two Americas.
