Richard Melville Hall (Harlem, New York, September 11, 1965), better known as Moby, is an American electronic music composer. He took his stage name from the most famous book of his well-known great-grandfather, Herman Melville, Moby Dick. After placing eight of his singles in the singles list of the United Kingdom1 in the 90s making techno music, his biggest success was Play, released in 1999, of which he sold 12 million copies worldwide.
