Samuel Brunk is professor of history at the University of Texas at El Paso. In addition to dealing with the Mexican Revolution, he has studied environmental history, particularly that of the Chihuahua desert. He is the author of Emiliano Zapata !: Revolution and Betrayal in Mexico (1995) and co-editor, with Ben Fallaw, of Heroes and Hero Cults in Latin America (2006).
