Sjón (Reykjavík, 1962). The name of Sigurjón Birgir Sigurðsson, meaning "vision", is one of the most interesting and innovative writers in Iceland. His books of poems, novels and children's stories have been very critically and publicly successful. Sjón is also an important figure in Icelandic music. He is known worldwide as author of some songs by Björk, such as "Isobel", "Jóga" and "Oceania", among others. In addition, it is author of the songs of the film Dancing in the dark, of Lars von Trier, interpreted by the Icelandic singer; One of them was nominated for the Oscar for the best original song. Sjón also participated as guest vocalist in the album Luftgitar of the Icelandic group Sugarcubes under the pseudonym of Johnny Triumph. In 2005 he won the Nordic Council Literature Prize for The Arctic Fox (Skugga-Baldur), published in this same collection. They have also appeared in Norse Twilight Wonders and Time Navigators.
