Jouve is one of the central poets of 20th century European lyric, still very little translated into Spanish. Influenced by the mystical and esoteric traditions, Jouve is one of the highest European representatives of poetry understood as an adventure of the spirit. He died in Paris in 1976. The Spanish poet Carlos Edmundo de Ory, who treated Jouve in Paris, overturns in these versions all his lyrical knowledge and renders his particular homage to the work of the great French poet.
