This book presents a problematic approach between the fields of psychoanalysis and hermeneutics. The relationships between these two disciplines are complex both because of their approach and because of the debate they have raised when they have cultural practices as their subject. The authors of this book problematize these relationships from a philosophical point of view, asking whether the element of interpretation is preeminent over the critical element in psychoanalysis, or whether the type of analytical exegesis implemented in the psychoanalytic environment is of a kind different from that of the hermeneutical tradition.
