The National Institute of Historical Studies of the Revolutions of Mexico (INEHRM) commissioned historians Pedro Salmerón and Felipe Ávila to make a synthesis of the Mexican Revolution to spread the perspective of our time on the foundational stage of Mexico in the 20th century. Being Salmerón Villismo specialist, and Ávila of Zapatismo and the Sovereign Revolutionary Convention, both add to the knowledge of the entire revolutionary process.
The researchers study the political, economic and social causes that caused the revolutionary outbreak, due to the concentration of power and wealth of the Porfirian dictatorship. They give an account of the spoils and grievances that the rural population had suffered in the various regions of the country, which led them to join the Maderista revolution.
