The passion for books, together with a commitment to form, led to the emergence of the mimesis editorial project at the beginning of 2018. but not just any book and not just any form. The materiality of language has as one of its supports a technology that, after millennia, has been able to resist the sieges that seek to curtail its power. Hence, each published book has its own design and careful layout. from the legal page to the colophon, nothing is left to the whim of routinization. Types not only convey the thought of a language, they are a thought in themselves and therefore their forms must be revealed. the academic book with its footnotes is dislocated by figures and sources that exhibit their inherent imagery. rehearsal is our way. latin america our scene.

Since January 2021 we have been part of the radical open access collective. We share his philosophy, his practices and his interventions in the publishing environment in pursuit of a future based on experimentation, with non-business and non-profit approaches.
