It is the story of the brothers and Fritz Martin Heidegger, a family and its environment. It is also a spiritual and cultural history of the first half of the twentieth century, while an introduction, surprisingly, to the philosophy of Martin Heidegger. To know him is necessary to approach the figure of Fritz, his brother. He represents the province to be that although it was open to the world. While Martin, sheltered by the church, could go to school and pursue their studies as normal, Fritz, stammering, not suffered the same fate. Anyway, his vocation to preach led him to pronounce the speeches of Carnival, so admired and feared. Despite these life circumstances, the relationship between the brothers was always very close. Martin confided his writings to Fritz, who typed and corrected them during the war and preserved from the devastation. Fritz meanwhile taught himself to write that despite an extraordinary number of texts, never wanted to publish them.
