Daniel Goleman (California, 1946) is the author of Emotional Intelligence, one of the most long-lived and daring best-sellers of recent years. Ph.D. at Harvard, he has written on behavioral and brain sciences for the New York Times for twelve years, being nominated twice for the Pulitzer Prize. He is currently president of the Consortium for Emotional Intelligence Research at Rutgers University and a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. With five million copies sold worldwide, Goleman deepened some of the concepts of emotional intelligence with the practice of emotional intelligence, emotional intelligence at work and social intelligence. He spent several years in India studying various methods of meditation whose fruit are his works Destructive Emotions, Emotional Health and The Paths of Meditation.
