The Editorial Herder Mexico was founded in 2002 by Jan-Cornelius Schulz, then Barcelona manager Herder. So far, Herder Mexico has over 120 titles published following the ancient traditions of Bartholomäus Herder. In 2011, following a path of steady and organic growth, the publisher moved to a new location in the Colonia Roma Sur, where he opened a specialized in social sciences and humanities library.
