Arthur Danto is one of the most influential philosophers of recent times. He wrote about thirty books on many and very different subjects, such as the philosophy of action, of history, of knowledge, and about Nietzsche and Sartre, among others; but it is in the field of art philosophy that his contributions have been most important.
