Inés G. Labarta

Inés G. Labarta (Madrid, 1992) used to have terrible nightmares when she was a child and she even saw fantasies on three occasions. Restless as a fawn, decided to take advantage of their fears and write about the things that give chills (which has turned out to be an inexhaustible source of inspiration). Their short stories overcame enough to be awarded and published by institutions such as the Autonomous University of Madrid or the newspaper El País. He has written a collection of juvenile novels, Los Pentasónicos, and recently he has published in English a short novel of Gothic horror, Mc Tavish Manor, published by Holland House Books in 2016. He loves hiking, apples in all their forms and colors, playing the piano, scribbling and drinking chai tea. She has lived in Ireland and Scotland and currently resides in the northwest of England, where she is an associate professor of Creative Writing at several universities while completing her PhD at the University of Lancaster. Inés is entertained by recording her radio program The Writing Life or writing her blog Worderlust. As she also likes to get together with other artists, Inés has participated in the organization of several literary festivals: the Northwest Literary Salon, Stories at the Store and Lancaster Words.
