Lorraine Jennifer Daston (Lansing, Michigan, June 9, 1951) is a science historian born in the United States and based in Germany, and since 1995 is the Executive Director of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin, Germany. Daston is an Honorary Professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin since 1997 and has been a visiting professor at Harvard University (2002-2003) and the University of Chicago (2005-2008).
