USÓN GARCÍA, RICARDO
(Zaragoza, 17-XI-1957). Architect. Graduated at the School of Architecture of Valencia, 1980, with a specialization in Building. Doctor in Architecture, year 1989, by the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona, ​​with the thesis Fantasy and Reason. The architecture in the work of Francisco Goya. Study of the pyramid figure in the architecture of the Enlightenment. Charges at the City Council of Zaragoza: Municipal Architect for free opposition, 1981, member of the Municipal Commission of the Historical-Artistic Heritage, 1988-1999, Director of the Area of ​​Architecture, 1989-1995, and Chief Architect of the Department of Equipment, since July of 2000. Regular lecturer, he has attended numerous courses, seminars and congresses. His projects appear in various publications. As a writer we can distinguish, among other contributions, the following: Design as object architecture (Semper's dream); 1985, The intervention of Ventura Rodríguez in El Pilar. The Holy Chapel generating an architectural dream, 1990; Remodeling of the Plaza del Pilar in Zaragoza, 1992; Architecture and utopia, 1992; Classicism and automatism, 1993; and Goya, painter-philosopher: aesthetics and architecture, 1996. Prizes: 1983- Third prize of the national contest of ideas for the construction of a building in the Plaza de España de Alcañiz, Teruel. 1985- Accésit in the "García Mercadal" Award for the Rincón de Goya amphitheater. 1990- Accésit "García Mercadal" Award for the Ricardo Magdalena Municipal Library.
