The texts in this volume, dedicated to ontology after Heidegger, philosophy of language and the ethical problems are representative of the whole way of thinking of one of the great philosophers of the twentieth century the three sections in which this volume is divided reflect the philosophical path Ernst Tugendhat. Titled "Being" investigations in confrontation with Heidegger's ontology and from analysis of Aristotle, which can highlight are grouped as one of the important criteria that from contemporary thought can not be raised and the question by being independent of the conditions that determine it.  In the second set of texts gathered under the title "Truth", related to the analytic philosophy of language, one of the fields to which Ernst Tugendhat was dedicated with special intensity works are, as work is also evident in his important and extensive Sprachanalytische Philosophie (analytic philosophy of language) 1976.  Entitled 'Action', the last section of the volume, related research ethics issue that the author began to devote motivated by socio-political events and trends in the decades seventies and eighties, and constituting some include break from their inquiries and earlier approaches.  In the second and third thematic blocks are also critical comments on positions of other philosophers, such as Hans-Georg Gadamer and Habermas.  On the whole, this volume allows to know the main features of philosophical interests horizon Ernst Tugendhat, which is a valuable introduction to his thought
