Constitutional democracy is a complex political system based on tax limits and legal ties to all, and powers? Supranational public and private state? to safeguard peace and fundamental rights of all. The formal theory of law developed in this first volume of Principia iuris defines the normative paradigm of constitutional democracy, it analyzes the growing divergence between its principles and practices and illustrates the techniques and guarantee institutions able to overcome, or at least reduce the ineffectiveness of the first and the illegitimacy of the latter.
