The selection focuses on the author's last decade of life and thematically includes texts related to the North American Southwest, in particular New Mexico, along with others about Mexico and the USA. The volume is divided into two parts: the first, MAÑANITAS IN MEXICO, is a new translation of Mornings in Mexico (1927), and the OTHER TESTS appear here gathered for the first time in Spanish. With them, the reader will be able to accompany Lawrence on his vital and spiritual itinerary from Oaxaca (Mexico) to Spotorno (Italy), through the town of Taos and the Indian reservations of New Mexico and Arizona. At the same time, he will discover, along with travel writing, more philosophical, cultural and political reflections that contrast Europe and North America with Lawrence's always incisive style.
