The present work, the sixth delivery within the Musical Writings published in the present collection, Adorno presents his critical analysis of the interpretations and written production related to the musical field of which he has been a witness and reader. The work is divided into five parts: the first and second collect their comments to operatic concerts; The third, is dedicated to musical compositions; The fourth groups the recensions of numerous books on this field and the fifth and last compiles several essays on the praxis of musical life. The present volume closes an annex with other essays, among them the brilliant journey that the philosopher makes for the history of German music from 1908 to 1933.
