In our days there is a lavish debate about the nature of historical knowledge, about its limitations and its forms. It is often assumed that a disembarkation of "new" elements has, unexpectedly, produced a radical turn in the discipline. However, the texts included in this book, which aim to cover a wide spectrum of the situation (between explanation and hermeneutics), coincide in addressing the present of History in a nuanced way, deepening in the constants of the discipline itself and in the various ways of understanding it.
