Founded in 1967, Amorrortu editores is dedicated to the publication of books aimed at the professional and university public in the field of human and social sciences. Our catalog includes various specialties and a wide range of topics and classic and contemporary authors, belonging to the most varied currents of thought. To the traditional libraries of Sociology, Philosophy, Anthropology, Psychology and Psychoanalysis, the Communication, culture and media, Education -integrated by three collections: Educational Agenda, New Teaching / New Practices and Preschool-, Mutations- have been added in recent years. centered on questions of philosophy and psychoanalysis- and Nomads-short texts by great authors. Among our most popular works is the already famous direct translation of the German of the Complete Works of Sigmund Freud by José Luis Etcheverry, which has been enriched with the inclusion of the critical apparatus of the Standard Edition by James Strachey. Since the beginning, we have been driven by the deep desire to collaborate in the dissemination of intellectual work, based on the quality of the texts and the contribution they can make to the Spanish-speaking cultural field, aware of the challenge of providing readers with works that they become reliable study texts in terms of respect for the ideas of the author, rigorous in the conceptual and in which the care of the editions is their distinctive mark. In 2011 we decided to open up new paths and immerse ourselves in the world of publishing for children and young people.
