Doctor from the Complutense University of Madrid, in 1970 he joined the position of Senior Scientist of the CSIC. During the last five years of his life he was assigned to the Institute of Philosophy. He was Director of Publications of the CSIC and Chief of Staff of the Secretary of State for Universities and Research. He directed the Arbor magazine of the CSIC and the Annals of the Institute of Madrilenian Studies, as well as the collection of the CSIC Short Literature of study and cataloging of Spanish literary collections. He published numerous books and articles, made anthologies, and dictated lectures, courses and seminars. His publications cover various topics: medicine, history of physics, history of contemporary Spanish culture, specializing in Spanish literature of the interwar period. He was also a film screenwriter. Wrote, in co-authorship with Julia María Labrador Ben, the book Spanish culture in the twentieth century: A recovery project, Spanish Federation of Circles and Cultural Casinos, 2004 - 238 pp. He was tenacious and fruitful in his work of rescue, re-evaluation and promotion of the intellectual and scientific heritage of Spain.
