Joel Flores

Zacatecas, 1984. He is considered one of the twenty most important young writers in Latin America, according to the International Book Fair of Guadalajara. He is the author of the semi-desert trilogy, composed of the short story book Rojo semidesierto (Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz International Literature Prize, 2012), the novel Nunca mas su nombre (Juan Rulfo Prize summoned by the National Institute of Fine Arts, 2012) and a novel that is writing now. He was a resident of the Antonio Gala Foundation, based in Andalusia, Spain, and a fellow in three issues of Fonca. Currently lives in Tijuana.
