Avtar Brah is a professor of Sociology at Birkbeck College. Since the sixties, he has participated in various groups of black feminists and in a good number of editorial and political projects. His works explore, at the hand of his militant experience, the intersectionality of gender, race, ethnicity, class, age and nationalism in the composition of political identities and practices that can only be understood in a multiaxial framework of power. Also from Avtar Brah, although not translated into Spanish, you can read: Hybridity and its Discontents: Politics, Science, Culture (Routledge, 2000).
