Paul Willlis is an entire institution in the studies of sociology of education and urban ethnography. He has been a professor at the universities of Birmingham and Wolverhampton, where he currently teaches, as well as director of research programs at the Gulbenkian Foundation. Among his publications are: New Critical Perspectives in Education (1994), The Ethnographic Imagination (2000), as well as the review of his Learning to Labor in New times (2004).
