Hubert Martínez Calleja, also known as Hubert Matiúwaà / Malina (Guerrero, 1986), is a Mexican poet belonging to the Mè'phàà culture. He has been the winner of the Indigenous Literature of America award in 2017.
He studied a degree in Philosophy and Letters at the Autonomous University of Guerrero (UAGRO) and a degree in Literary Creation at the Autonomous University of Mexico City (UACM). He is a teacher in Latin American Studies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). His research on the relationship between the mè'phàà and sutiaba cultures led him to stay in Nicaragua. He was also a fellow of the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA), in the area of poetry, and of the Program to Encourage Creation and Artistic Development (PECDA) in 2015.
