Katia Canciani is the author of forty-seven books in general and youth literature. His first novel, A Garden in Spain, was published in 2006. Critically acclaimed, he was a finalist for the Radio-Canada Readers' Award and the Éloizes Awards. His second novel, "178 seconds", was published in 2009 and received the Prix littéraire des enseignants du Québec. This writing is followed, a few months later, by an epistolary account, “Letter to Saint-Exupéry”. For the youth, Katia Canciani signs forty-four books, ranging from album to novel, including the magnificent album “Sofia and the Street Merchant,” at Les 400 Coups; "Pet et Répète: la véritable histoire", by Fonfon; and “Pique la lune” at L’Isatis. He was awarded the Communications and Society Award for his album "Samuel the Tornado." Some of his titles are translated into Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Turkish and English. Sensitivity, humanistic values, and humor characterize his writing. A bachelor of communication, Katia is also a professional pilot.
