Antonio Mestre Sanchis (Oliva, Valencia, 1933). PhD in History from the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome and Literary University of Valencia and Professor of Modern History at the Universities of Alicante and Valencia. His research has focused on the figure of the polygraph Gregorio Mayans y Siscar (1699-1781), analyzing the cultural precedent of the Spanish novatores (Manuel Martí in a particular way), his intellectual and editorial activity, his relationship with Europe and his epigones. in the second half of the 18th century, both in its cultural and religious dimensions.
