Gloria Guerrero Ramos

She is Professor of General Linguistics at the University of Malaga. She has a PhD in Hispanic Philology, for whose thesis she received the Elio Antonio de Nebrija international research award.
She is a founding member of the Andalusian Society of General Linguistics and of AETER (Spanish Association of Terminology). She has also been part of the team created in Malaga to create the first automated Spanish dictionary published by the VOX publishing house.
Responsible for the University of Malaga, together with Professor Manuel Fernando Pérez Lagos, of the ALETERM Terminology Network for Spain and Latin America granted by the AECI (Spanish Agency for International Cooperation) from 2000 to 2002. They participated in it for Spain the Universities of Malaga, Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona and Salamanca; and for Latin America, the Universities of Buenos Aires (Argentina), Del Valle (Colombia) and Brasilia (Brazil).
She has been part of the Lexicology and Lexicography Research Group (Junta de Andalucía, HUM 0106) and is currently a member of the Malagueño Urban Vernacular Group (VUM, HUM392).
She is part of the Network of Spanish Neology Observatories (NEOROC) and coordinates the team at the University of Malaga, Neouma.
She is an evaluator for ANEP and for prestigious magazines both nationally and internationally. She is part of the scientific committee of the issue of the journal Terminology. International Journal of Theoretical and Applied Issues in Specialized Communication dedicated to neology in specialized communication. She is also a member of the scientific committee of the Riterm volume dedicated to Terminology in the 21st century.
Her publications revolve around her main lines of research: lexicography, lexicology, terminology and neology.
