Matías Ayala Munita is a professor and researcher at the Finis Terrae University (Santiago, Chile). He has practiced literary criticism and published academic articles in magazines and books in Chile, the US and Europe. He wrote two books of poetry, edited A strident note by Enrique Lihn (Santiago: Ediciones UDP, 2005) and is the author of the books essays: Lugar inconveniento. Poetry and society in Parra, Lihn and Martínez (Santiago: Ediciones UAH, 2010) and The poetry of Óscar Hahn. Anachrony, ghosts, visuality. (Santiago: UFT Editions, 2018).
