Gómez studied Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca. He has worked for various European publishers, such as SM in Spain, Le Petit Bulles Edition in France, and Scholastic and Sterling in the United States. With Hedgehog and Rabbit: Scare of the Wind, she earned a Junior Library Guild Selection Award.
