Ádám Bodor

Ádám Bodor (Cluj-Napoca, Romania, 1936) belongs to the Hungarian community of Transylvania. He was arrested by the political police in 1950 and taken to prison. Acantilado has published his novels El Distrito de Sinistra (2003) —elected by La Vanguardia as the best foreign narrative book of 2003 and awarded the Ángel Crespo translation prize—, La visita del arzobispo (2005) and The birds of Verhovina (2019) , as well as the stories in La section (2007).
