Augustine of Hippo or Augustine or Aurelius Augustinus Hipponensis (Thagaste, November 13, 354 - Hippo Regius (also called Hippo), August 28, 430) is a saint, Father and Doctor of the Catholic Church.

The "Doctor of Grace" was the greatest thinker of the first millennium of Christianity and Antonio Livi as one of the greatest geniuses of mankind. A prolific author, devoted much of his life to writing on philosophy and theology being Confessions and City of God his most outstanding works.
