Aixa de la Cruz (Bilbao, 1988) holds a degree in English Philology and a PhD in Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature from the University of the Basque Country. She is the author of the novels When We Were the Best (Almuzara, 2007) and Light Music (451 Editors) and the book of stories Animal Models (Page Break, 2015). He has also collaborated on various story anthologies such as Last Season (Trapo Language, 2013), Under Thirty (Page Break, 2013) or the English-language selection of European storytellers Best European Fiction 2015 (Dalkey Archive, 2014). The Front Line (Page Break 2017) is his latest novel.
