Alan Knight (born November 6, 1946) is a professor of Latin American history at the University of Oxford, England, working at St. Antony's College; he is also director of the Latin American Center. Knight is the author of the two-volume work The Mexican Revolution (La Revolución Mexicana, Cambridge 1986) for which he received the Albert Beveridge Prize from the American Historical Association and the Bolton Prize from the Conference on Latin American History. He is considered an authority on issues related to Mexico. In 2012, Professor Knight received an honorary doctorate from the Universidad Veracruzana.
